AI summary...
On an imaginary scale from 1 to 10, Mark Stoops' defense has historically rated highly in effectiveness, particularly in his defensive coordinator roles and the latter part of his Kentucky head coaching tenure, warranting a 7.5 to 8 out of 10.
This score reflects a strong coaching reputation for building top-tier defenses, especially after initial years of rebuilding.
On an imaginary scale from 1 to 10, Blake Baker scores an impressive 8.5 out of 10, notably for his rapid and aggressive defensive turnarounds at multiple programs, particularly in the SEC.
His philosophy emphasizes creating "havoc" and disruption, contrasting with Mark Stoops' more "bend-don't-break" style, with a focus on high pressure, tackles for loss, and forced turnovers.

Exactly, so when you ask that, you say “I don’t like Stoops, would he be a good DC?”
Then you’ll get the negative
Then you’ll get the negative

It’s a total shift from what we ran this year. But if you can land Mark Stoops as your DC that’s a lot of years of experience in the SEC coordinating defense.

He’s a good defensive coach. He would be a good DC hire. He was a decent HC, he just plateaued at Kentucky and we need someone to take us the next step up the ladder in the SEC.
