Imagine Tiger Stadiums first home playoff game.

Until they change the format, I’d prefer not to have a home playoff game and instead get a bye as a top-4 seed. One less victory needed for the title. Right now, only seeds 5-8 get to host a playoff game.

With the current format, I would NOT want a top 4 seed. Give me an end of season week 0 type home game against a relatively weaker opponent to knock the cobwebs off from a long layover. That's a big advantage against a top 4 seed that needs to spend another week not playing the game. Look at last year...all 4 top seeds got bounced.

The current structure/format of this stuff really is complete arse.

Will be the greatest home field advantage ever, it will be epic!!!!

Of 8 teams that played a first-round game, 4 of them lost (funny how that works out). But, yeah, let’s make a general conclusion byes are bad based on 1 year of a format, especially when the top 4 seeds will be the top 4 ranked instead of the 4 auto conference champs qualifiers like was done last year. Boise got a bye last year, and no one thought Boise was the third-best team in the country. They drew that seed because conference champs got the top seeds.

Give me one less game to win in a tournament every time, even if it means I don’t get to host a game. You get to rest, and you get a chance to get some injured players healthy.
