re: $267K gets you this near houston

I live in South East houston. Obviously I don't think we will be "spared" but my point was that we did not see the big housing "Boom" that other parts of the country did. Our housing prices did not explode here. We had a lot built but the prices have always been reasonable and the prices have not to my knowledge fallen off drastically.

Are they supremely healthy...probably not. Were loans given to people that shouldn't have been...of course. But we don't have as much of an issue with the house your living in losing so much value that it is not worth paying the note on it anymore.

But as I said...i am no expert...so take it for what it is worth.
