Lane's offenses at Ole Miss were very much fruitful for running backs. Below is a year by year breakdown of how their primary backs thrived in his offense.

2020
3 RBs shared snaps: Jerrion Ealy, Snoop Conner, Henry Parrish Jr.
182 yards per game, 5.2 yards per touch, 20 touchdowns

2021
Same 3 RBs split snaps: Jerrion Ealy, Snoop Conner, Henry Parrish Jr.
194 ypg, 5.6 ypt, 23 touchdowns

2022
2 main featured backs: Quinshon Judkins, Zach Evans
219 ypg, 6.2 ypg, 27 touchdowns

2023
2 backs: Quinshon Judkins, Ulysses Bentley IV
149 ypg, 4.9 ypt, 22 touchdowns

2024
2 main backs split snaps: Henry Parrish Jr., Ulysses Bentley IV (Dart ate into a lot of their rushing yards this season)
124 ypg, 5.3 ypt, 15 touchdowns

2025
Lacy is the bell cow spelled by 2 other backs: Kewan Lacy, Logan Diggs, Damien Taylor
143 ypg, 5.1 ypt, 25 touchdowns

Per Season - 169 yards per game, 5.4 yards per touch, 22 touchdowns

Assuming we run it back with Durham and Berry in 2026, I'm expecting this offense to turn things around very quickly on the Lane Train.

We need an OL coach first. I don't know if we need more talent at OL, but I do know we need a coach

For comparison; LSU from 2021-2025, RBs with >20 carries in a season

2021: 110 ypg, 4.6 ypt, 8 touchdowns
2022: 113 ypg, 5.4 ypt, 27 touchdowns
2023: 108 ypg, 5.3 ypt, 20 touchdowns (2022-23 had lower ypg and higher ypt thanks to Daniels)
2024: 107 ypg, 4.6 ypt, 12 touchdowns
2025: 92 ypg, 4.5 ypt, 7 touchdowns (essentially the worst LSU offense ever)

side note: Brian Kelly should have done whatever it took to keep Denbrock. What an idiot.

eta: Say what you want about the competition but, here is what Denbrock has done at Notre Dame...
Screw you Kelly and Sloan.

from:
2023: 167 ypg, 5.8 ypt, 24 touchdowns

to:
2024: 138 ypg, 6.5 ypt, 27 touchdowns (6th round QB Leonard ran for 900 yards)
2025: 189 ypg, 6.8 ypt, 34 touchdowns

That's fine, RB is the main position where LSU can afford to shop depth and not pay for a Day 1 starter.
