Here's all LSU needs now

A QB. Not a problem, transfers will line up.
A functioning Oline. The pieces may be there already. Hard to know, because the OL coaching has been abysmal for years.
Better WRs. Again, it's hard to know how good this group was with the oline and QB issues, but I don't see any high end talent like we've been used to outside of maybe Kyle Parker.
RB depth.
A couple interior disrupters on the DL
I don't see this as a total rebuild. There are pieces on defense, and keeping Baker would go a long way to having a very good defense next season.
The offense is a mess, but has recruited well on paper at OL. With A good OL coach and a transfer or 2 that could be a solid unit in '26. If that happens, the rest is easy, as we're virtually garaunteed good QB play.
Am I wrong in thinking LSU could contend for a playoff spot as early as next season?

Offense will be completely fine. Players will line up to play at lsu under Kiffin.

Really, if he fixes the Oline and brings in a high level QB, the rest will fall into place.

I would add that we need an elite edge rusher or preferably two. Payton got nowhere this year. How many sacks did we have this year on four man rush? A couple?

Its not a total rebuild at all.
Qb- portal add
Wr-Parker, billiot, Francis, watkins, and fr coming in. Grab portal stud
Rb- keep 2 ya got, add 2 depth
Te- green, green, lafleur
Oline- adams, echols, curne, Thomas, ory, add 2 starters if lane feels need
De- shanklin, reliford, cj jackson, 5 star fr, Carpenter. Add 1 top flight if there.
Dt- mckinley, breaux, zion, mathis/ brown, 3 fr top 75 overall recruits. Add 1 top flight portal if there.
Lb- ross/ braiker/ baby weeks/ singleton/ Add 1 stud portal or matue depth. If whit and Perkins come back, solid group.
Cb- Pickett, woodland, anding, Jackson, 2 fr coming.
Safety/ star- cooley if hes back, spears, thomas, stud fr coming, add portal stud if there.
New kicker, punter.
Watkins is return guy if stays.
Need: qb1, rb3/4, wr1 if there, oline 2, de/ dt if starter there, lb if whit/ Perkins go get best availible, safety starter if there.

WR is not a Top priority like QB or O-Line
But LSU still needs to go after Colorado WR Omarion Miller ( 6'-2" 210) from North Caddo HS in NW corner of LA
Had 8 catches for 121 yards yesterday
Has 7 TDs on the year ...big WR w play making ability
