How does a player NOT get ejected for headbutting a ref?

The BIG was on the phone quickly for that one. Didn't want to have it affect their only game that matters, I suppose.

Looked like he bumped the bill of his cap. He was demonstrating to the ref what was done to him, not attacking the ref.
Dumb move, but I thought ref had great judgment there.
