Geopolitics with no holds barred.

Now that you have a serious administration taking the problem seriously, the snakes are coming out of the woodwork who want to downplay what is happening. Some for nationalistic reasons, some because they are scared of action on anything, some because Orange Man Bad, and others because, well, we can’t make Muslims look bad, even if they are slaughtering Christians.
Geopolitics with no holds barred.

If Trump wants to do it, why not?
He has been more right on foreign policy than the recent Presidents.

At least be up front with it.

Further, I have major church/state (First Amendment) concerns when the US intervenes internationally, to protect a favored religious group (Christians) but refuses to do so in order to protect non-Christian religious groups (e.g. Kurdish Yezidis and Zoroastrians), based solely upon the religious affiliation of the "oppressed" people.

It is the fastest growing country in the world.
They will be a major player in the mid to late 2000s

Do you know how many have been killed?
Do you understand what a refugee wave will be unleashed if Pakistan or Nigeria fall apart like Syria?
It is shockingly naive to think that a country with 230 Million does not qualify as US interests.
Africa is becoming more and more important globally.

Uhh.. So it's only because the US Favors Christians?
Lets take a look at post Cold war US Interventions
quote:
1990: Kuwait - Muslim
1992: Somalia - Muslim
1992: Kurds - Muslim
1994: Haiti - Christian
1995: Bosnia - Muslim
1999: Kosovo - Muslim
2001: Afghanistan - Muslim - Not Peace Keeping
2002: Iraq - Muslim - Not Peace Keeping
2002: Georgia - Christian
2009: Philippines - Christian
2011: Libya - Muslim
2012: Syria - Muslim
2013: Mali - Muslim
2013: Niger - Muslim
2014: Iraq - Muslim - Peace Keeping
2015: Comoros - Muslim
2015: Yemen - Muslim
2021: Mozambique - Christian
2022: Ukraine - Christian
2023: Israel - Jewish
In each of these cases, the US tried to stabilize a situation that ultimately lead to more people staying alive.
It's ignorant of you to claim that the US government favors Christians.
The Yazidi are only not raped to death because the US got involved in Syria, under the same situation as in Nigeria today.
the Kurds were not wiped out by Saddam because we established a no fly zone to protect them.
That said I'm actually unaware of any place where Zoroastrians are being wiped out, Iran is actually reasonably friendly to them, and Saddam didn't have a huge problem with them, nor India.
So to summarize:
You are firmly in the
