Sweetwater Customer Service- Too Much

I ordered a $5 adapter last night and got the email confirmations and shipping and all that. Then my phone rings and says Sweetwater. So I think "oh shite, something wrong with the order" and I answer. I won't do that again. Guy goes on for about 5 minutes thanking me for my patronage and all that shite, which I appreciate, but I was about to hang up on him because he wouldn't stop talking. Nothing was wrong with the order, he just wanted to call me and talk to me about how much they appreciate my $5 order. I've been watching Pluribus (highly recommend) and it made me feel like Carol.

I haven't had that problem. I just get follow up calls about any questions on my new guitar and let me know they are there if I need them. Calls last 2 or 3 minutes

They are very good. Fast shipping and awesome customer service. They don't bug you. They just send you an email, hey, your gear was delivered, enjoy, see you later.
**I bet just by reading this thread I am guaranteed a call from Richard, my Sweetwater Sales Engineer, tomorrow.

I have a personal rule that goes for family as well as customer service reps. If they don’t get the hint after a couple of minutes of droning on, I just have to hang up on them.

2 am, knock on the door, "Hi, I'm Richard. Just checking in on you,"

They are required to do that FYI. I know it does feel like it’s a bit much, but they have to make that call and log it. They really are great people though (most of them)

My son is a drummer and buys from them. I've had to call once for an issue and that company has the BEST customer service I've ever encountered. Polite, listen and extremely thorough. I appreciate how they handled business

Holy shart! The same thing happened to me after I ordered a $15.00 pick guard.
However, I appreciate it. They're great!

I don't mind the phone calls or emails. Have any of you tried to negotiate a better deal?
They knocked $200 off of two Fender necks to upgrade my Squier JM and Strat a year ago $600 to $400 and I'm about to ask them to drop the price on a small PA system today. We'll see if they do and I'll let you know.
