Brady apologists...

Tiger20, LSUbeatles, Badcat, xiv, Shotclock, Bobby Moore (closet Brady lover): {Did I Miss anyone?}
Admit that firing Brady was the right thing to do. It's time. Brady may have recruited great talent (and by Brady, I mean Collis Temple, JR.) and taken us to a Final 4, but by no means did you ever see a John Brady team play as a team and believe in each other and buy into one man's philosophy the way these young men have.
2006 was the most talented team at LSU in 16 years. They didn't have to do a whole lot except get the ball to the playmakers and rely on TT and Big Baby to take over. The bottom line is that they were MUCH more talented than '09. I also realize the SEC is waaay down compared to 2006, but look at this roster and tell me JB would be 20-4/8-1 right now. No way.
Trent Johnson made his presence known early and Terry Martin, of all people, paid his dues and did not quit, after getting in the TJ dog house. No player on this team has been a discipline problem since...no one has left and no one has said a cross word about TJ. If you went to the 100th Anniversary celebration and saw the alumni game, as well as the Arky game, you left with a feeling that you hadn't had in you in quite some time when it comes to LSU basketball. What a beautiful day from the basketball gods that allowed TJ to unite a fanbase and so many former players that we had not heard from since they left. John Brady alienated a fanbase and paid little thanks and regards to former coaches and players.
Your time is now...admit that you were wrong and the bashers were right. This is not about wins and losses. This is about running a program and running it right.

The greatest improvement Johnson brought is movement on offense. There is motion, screens, pics and hustle. I did not like the firing... but the proof is 20-4.

You're absolutely right. Although, I doubt any of the guys you mentioned will man up and admit they were wrong.

I wanted Brady out before the final four season and that year only extended his stay at LSU. Coach TJ is a rock.

hard to argue, but the D is so much better as well.

I just like how agressive our Defense is under Johnson. Storm Warren fouling out tonight was more a result of playing his arse off than making stupid mistakes. That kid was hustling, and it is good to see that in a freshman.

I went on record last year that it was in the best interest of both LSU and John Brady to part ways.
Yet, many will not give Brady dredit for teh tremendous accomplishment of inheriting a moribund, probation bound program and turning it into a competitive program which made it's prescence known on the conference and national stage. No matter how you spin it, Trent Johnson inherited a program and player nucleus light years ahead of what Brady found in 1997.
I am impressed by the job Trent Johnson has done this year. I would have expected similar results from Brady. However, before we deify Johnson how about have him at least win a SEC West crown ( Brady won 3 ), or an SEC title ( Brady won 2), or go to the Final Four. Johnson has never won a title in a major conference.
There were several unforced errors that could have cost the game tonite. Brady would have been assailed for those same errors.

I think some of you missed the point of the original post. Yes the offense is different. Yes the defense is different. BUT, the single greatest impact TJ has made is in the team belief system and reaching out to a program that was once great.
JB should have been gone after the Wisconsin debacle. The writing was on the wall then. He became a jaded man and it showed. His players didn't believe in him and the fans were disgraced.
And on getting these guys to admit they were wrong....no chance. Their universes are very small.

I doubt it. We would have expected worse results and we would received even less than that.
Excuse after excuse....both the apologists and Brady

In the 16 years previous to this one, I believe LSU had a winning SEC record 3 times. 3 times! That's horrible. And Brady coached 11 of those years! You can spin the 3 years that you hang you and Brady's hat on so much, but that was it. I don't care how good the 3 years were, when the other 8 sucked, who gives a shite. That's not a program, that's just a shot in the dark once every 3 or 4 years, which ain;t worth a shite. Consistency is the true mark of a program. Brady was so far over his head, it was not funny! He ought to get down on his knees and kiss Joe Deans arse for being stupid enough to give him a job at a school as big time as LSU, that he was not qualified for in any way. He would have never gotten this job if not for the dranconian sanctions which you so often mention. Brad sucks shite!

you still are not saying brady shouldve been fired.

because he deserves very little to no credit, and his accomplishments are nowhere near what you make them to be.

the program was on probation for 3 years. that does not explain the other 8 which were extremely underwhelming for the most part.

for 2 years, thanks to future nba lottery picks. what about the other 9?

trent johnson has already won more sec games this year than brady did his last 2 seasons. if he can win 2 more games this season, he will eclipse brady's win total for the last 2 years combined. hes taken virtually the same team brady played with last year and won 12 more games already, with plenty more to go.

because you are a moron, and everyone knows this.

johnson hasnt finished his first season yet, of course he hasnt won a west title.

but as of right now hes on pace to do it this year. and that without a first round pick on the roster, much less a top 5 pick, which is what brady needed.

he has 11 years to do it. i hope hes at lsu that long.

thats because brady wouldve lost the game.

this part right here might be the most impressive. I figured terry martin was done but i give him credit for buying into what TJ was selling.

Latiger, you nailed it man. Please keep putting tiger20 and whatever other brady lovers in their place. I love it. They are fricking sickening and amazing at the same time, how they constantly bend down and unzip brady's pants and start sucking. They won't let it go , or leave, or just go follow his sorry arse at that basketball national powerhouse that hired him after he was dusted from here!

tiger20 may be a Brady apologist, but he's level-headed and at least knows most of what he is talking about...not always. Badcat and Beatles see it their way and will never admit when the're wrong. bad Cat still thinks Tigerdroppings.com is responsible for Greg Monroe leaving state.
Bad Cat also thinks that we'll hate any coach as long as he loses...never did he stop to think that our qualms and dislikes about Brady went much further than winning/losing. Also, he and Beatles believe that the Fianl 4 year was such a monumental achievement, that this buys a lifetime pass.
Clueless Brady apologists - don't ya just love 'em?

Brady came in under tough circumstances and I was very impressed at first when we did ok with next to nothing. But after the probation LSU just floundered. I don't hate Brady but he needed to go at least 5 years ago. I was glad to see the change last year because I knew if LSU gave him one more year (this year) that we would be stuck with him for a few more years. We were positioned to do better this year than last year even with Brady... BUT not this much better.
