Are good friends. I’d imagine Sexton will tell Nick where Lane is headed, and if it isn’t LSU, then Saban will let Verge know so they can move on to the next candidate immediately. I don’t think Nick would let Sexton play LSU like a fiddle til the end of this week. It must be LSU at this point.

Guys sexton has no interest in playing LSU.
He wants one of his clients to have that job, that’s a no brainer. Playing them does not help his cause for that, or the coaches he represents.

I don’t believe Sexton wants to play LSU but it’s he’s job to get the best deal for his client LSU or not. It’s nothing personal on his front its show me the money

I would modify that to say FBS commissioner independent of the NCAA.

Yes, and lane isn’t his only client.
We can sit around and look into this as much as possible.
Sexton and lane already know what lane is doing. I would assume the school lane is going to knows. If that’s the case sexton will absolutely be trying to get his other clients interviews with the other schools if he has some looking to make a move, which of course he does.

You realize it's prolly not in Sexton's best interest to "fk" LSU over on purpose just because. Even though sexton's 1st priority is to look out for his client - he still needs to have a good working relationship with the schools he's working with.
He's not just burn a bridge because Lane wants to be Lane. Sexton ain't a 14 year old.....
