Not that it matters at all, but I find it fascinating that the Raiders and UNLV share a stadium but play on different field surfaces.

I was rather miffed when I rolled into Allegiant last August for LSU / USC and saw the plastic pitch

The popular sailor hat logo on many vintage college mascots is largely due to one prolific artist, Arthur Evans, who designed logos for a heckin' lot of schools (around 90% between the 1930s and 1970s) and often reused the same design template.

It's widely speculated that he included the hat to reference the beanies or "freshman caps" that first-year students were historically required to wear on many campuses.

I found out last week in one of the game threads. I never heard of them before that either.

Never would have guessed one day I’d be exited about a Timmy Chang vs. Dan Mullen game, but ….. here we are.

It's hard to believe it's been 20 years since Chang played college ball. I didn't think it was that long ago so I looked it up on Wiki.

Glad they called it off. Every televised game needs to go to the command center to show the review process

I'd love to hear why the other conferences think it's aa bad thing. The transparency is awesome and would temper some of the favoritism complaints.

Hey look the ACC being transparent again on National television while the SEC vehemently opposes this transparency.
