I'm kind of used to catastrophic damage meaning huge explosion, little disappointed.

Elon has multiple interviews on explosions in testing.

Essentially it's,
"Yeah, we test until we blow it up. Then we know where the limits of our engineering really are. They are instrumental in the testing process."
