I'll ask the same thing I did in the other thread: How can following the law ever be sedition?

For what?

Do I have the right to refuse illegal orders?
quote:
Yes! All members of the military have the right, and in some cases have the duty, to refuse illegal orders. Your oath is to the Constitution (which incorporates international treaties ratified by the U.S. on human rights and the law of war), not to the Commander-In-Chief or to any other individual in the chain of command.
Under the UCMJ, a servicemember may be punished by court-martial for failure to obey any lawful general order or regulation. The UCMJ does not define what “lawful” means. The Rules for Courts-Martial say that an order is lawful, “unless it is contrary to the Constitution, the laws of the United States, or lawful superior orders or for some other reason is beyond the authority of the official issuing it.” The Rules go on to say that, “This inference does not apply to a patently illegal order, such as one that directs the commission of a crime.” Finally, the Rules say, “The lawfulness of an order is a question of law to be determined by the military judge.” That determination normally can be made only after a servicemember refuses or obeys an order, in a court martial or a war crimes tribunal.

It's more about showing Trump's comments are wrong.
Naturally, if he's making incorrect comments about something DEMs say, that means the DEMs weren't wrong. I can't help that. He's the one who created that shite show.

What are the illegal orders? Without them, why are they publicizing such or causing confusion among the military ranks? Are you advocating each soldier retain a lawyer before responding to command authority?
As POTUS, he should order the military to arrest these people immediately. We are at War obviously!!

Well, the Democrats didn't specify so it's not really a relevant question. That we're making more general statement so we have to analyze that statement for itself only.
All we can do is analyze exactly what they said and determine whether that is illegal or not. And all that they said was military members do not have to follow illegal orders and their duty is to follow the laws of the country and the Constitution. How can that be Sedition?

What was the purpose of that PSA, would you say?
Of course they covered their arse in the delivery of their message, but to what do you think they were speaking?

They just tried to yell "Fire" in a theater. Military members are trained to follow orders and elected political officials, one a former CIA agent, are subliminally trying to undermine the training by casting doubt.
It is obviously way over your pay grade. Please stand down.

Why do you (and Trump) hate the First Amendment?
Posted on 11/20/25 at 9:45 am to Bunk Moreland
So, Trump thinks soldiers following the law is treasonous?

Probably to imply Trump's actions will be ruled illegal in time for the general audience, more than any direct advice for military members.

But this isn't an accurate description. I know that's what you're trying to morph their words into, but it doesn't reflect reality.

Not illegal orders.

Why was it directed at the military and intelligence community?

Do you see the response and free air time they're getting with Stephen Miller and Trump making fools of themselves?
Now they get to comment on THAT, too.
