bullshite! Lane did exactly what he should.
Realize that Lane just entertained Fla and LSU. When he signs his extension with OM, he can say with confidence he looked elsewhere and OM is it. That will do amazing with recruits and funding.

He can say he danced with the prettiest girls at the ball, but still came home.

He’ll stay at OM until NFL calls him

There are reports that it’s finally gotten into the locker room at Ole Miss and we had our worst practice of the year by far today.

If he does stay, he may have caused too much damage to repair his relationship with players, boosters and the administration

At this point with how Kiffin has handled all of this, I’m not really as upset at the thought of him leaving now. I mean yeah it would suck don’t get me wrong. But how he has gone about this and the timeline of it all is just incredibly unprofessional and screws over the fanbase, players and boosters who have you everything you ever asked for to make it happen.

Downvoting me is like whistling walking past the graveyard. It doesn’t change it.

I mean what was he supposed to do? It's a difficult position to be in.

Most people would probably say to stay committed to the team you have that is literally in the college football playoff instead of bolting before the last game of the season.

I know you’re an LSU fan but you know that is the “right thing to do” from a moral standpoint. Lane talks about wanting to make his dad proud. Monte would whoop his arse if he knew his son was pulling something like that

If we were 7-3 or 6-4 with no shot to get in, it’s a different story and not a big deal. But we are 10-1 and likely already have our ticket punched regardless of the outcome of the Egg Bowl

What gives you the impression he's going to bolt before the last game?

It’s only difficult if you’re planning to leave. He’s had an extension on the table for a few weeks. If it wasn’t enough he could’ve easily negotiated with Ole Miss to get what he wanted

What better opportunity to go to the NFL than now, to the biggest media market in the world, with a qb he has a relationship with?

I don't think him leaving makes him a bad guy, I'm just not sure what he could've done differently

Do you think OM ends up giving him the ultimatum?

Uh, not take a job while your current team is going to the college football playoff. It’s not hard

The players are mouthing off to him at practice and it is causing a very toxic environment within the facility. Keith Carter as the AD cannot and would not allow that to continue

As shitty as it is for Ole Miss, there’s only one outcome if this is remotely true

He hasn't taken a job dude, maybe you just need to relax, if he's shitty as you say he is he'll take the Giants job, then none of us will have him
