Is Kevin Faulk your all time favorite player at LSU?

He is my favorite player to ever wear purple and gold, wonder how anyone else feels?

I certainly enjoyed watching him and appreciate all he did for the team. I do recall punk behavior- for example getting into a fight with a cop at a bar when he was a player at LSU (presumably underage). He did not wear a halo in my book.

I would say he would be in most people's top 10.

too many off the field issues for me. I'm thinking someone like Josh reed, Jacob Hester, Dalton Hilliard. Also some of the baseball guys like Todd Walker, Warren Morris, Ben Mcdonald. Those were class guys who were great representatives of LSU and great players with huge contributions while here at LSU. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Icongeauxtigers.png)

I'll add Aaron Hill to that list.

There are many others I would put ahead of Kevin Faulk. As an earlier poster noted, the off the field issues were numerous and some were significant. Talent is one thing, but character counts as well.

Me too. I've always loved Faulk. Probably because he was in school at the same time I was.

Dont forget about Joe Addai. He was a clydsdale for us for a couple years.

Probably. He was a freshman when we moved to Baton Rouge and thats when I, as a kid, just started watching college football.

In a discussion like this you have to bring in enough players that Faulk likely wouldn't even make your top ten. Here are some names to consider as well:
Y.A. Tittle
Pete Maravich
Jim Taylor
A.J. Duhe
Shaq
Josh Reed
Rohan Davey
Hokie Gajan
Charlie Alexander
Dalton Hilliard
Glenn Dorsey
Glenn Davis
Bob Pettit
This isn't my list of favorite players and its in no particular order. I really like Faulk but he doesn't make my top ten. I know after writing this I could throw in about ten more.
Bottom line? LSU certainly has had it's share of great players. I didn't even mention anyone from baseball or track just to focus on basketball and football.
So in answer to your question, Faulk might make the top ten in some lists but don't be surprised if a good portion of fans don't have him there. There are just too many 'favorites' that have played at LSU!
