What’s the latest and greatest treatment for rolled ankles?
Ice? Heat? Elevation? Keep it moving?

If you live in a state with Airrosti, go see them ASAP. Will hurt like hell but your ankle will feel great right after treatment.

Seriously though...just because you rolled your ankle doesn't mean that there's significant damage.
You will usually know right away if there's an injury.
How painful was the event? Are you able to walk normally? Is there evidence of severe soft tissue damage (bruising, swelling, lingering pain)?

If you live in Tampa I would say come and see me. I've got the best tech for ankle sprains.

If it's your first time spraining your ankle (and I'm assuming it's a lateral/inversion sprain where the outside part of your ankle is hurting) then you are looking at a 90+% chance of completely destroying 1 of your 3 ligaments that give this stability.

First things first. Control the inflammation. PRICE

Protect
Rest
Ice
Compression
Elevation

Ice is good for acute injuries, but COMPRESSION should be your go to for inflammation control. NSAIDs work too, if you aren't allergic, but take them with food.

Hope this helps
