Everyone seems to forget that BK left Notre Dame in the middle of a playoff run…

To come to LSU. And that was when it was a 4 team playoff! Damn those Notre Dame fans were shocked. He gone!

But some random poster on here said LSU isn’t that great of a head coaching destination anymore :(

They were ranked 6th in the CFP and needed a lot of help to get into the CFP.

They ended only getting half of the help they needed during CCG week.

He did something similar to Cincy. Right after undefeated season. Then they had a team banquet and he left the night of the banquet .

this video about him popped up on my YouTube feed yesterday

Notre Dame's regular season was already over and they were 6th in the CFP rankings.

I guess there was an outside chance they could have snuck into the top 4 with some help on conference championship weekend. Would have needed Michigan or Bama to lose and then it would have really tested the committee to see whether they would penalize them for playing an extra game for the conference title while Notre Dame sat idle.

To be fair, that was during the BCS and Cincinnati was left out of the title game in favor of Texas and Bama. Not like he left right before Cincy was about to play for a national title. And he probably didn't want to get his shite pushed in by Florida in Tebow's final game.

Bowden left Tulane for the Clemson job before the bowl game during Tulane's undefeated season too.

Notre Dame was on the outside looking in, with a remote shot to get in if a bunch of stuff fell their way.

Ole Miss is currently in with one more game against a team that’s 1-6 in SEC play.

It’s a completely different scenario.

No, he didn’t. Notre Dame had a less than 20 percent chance of making it, which they didn’t. Lane has an SEC team sitting at 10-1, this is a little different

Having a pathetically easy schedule where there’s no B10 or SEC teams will pretty much guarantee you a spot in the playoffs every single time.

Kelly’s overall record was the product of insanely weak schedules where 60% to 70% of the teams he played were G5 schools with a couple of bottom tier B10 programs sprinkled in. His record against SEC teams was horrendous and should have been the biggest red flag to LSU before they hired him.
