Drove by our ponds yesterday and stopped to piss. So no fowl of any kind. Would have thought I would at least see some specs.

Very close to Bunkie. We can see the lights from Gator Grounds.

Hoping for better than last year. We actually have rice/stubble this year. Last season was bare mud.

Hunted it in 21 and 22 and it sucked. Got back in again this year. Oldest stepkid went last Saturday and it seems to still suck

I'll keep you in mind. I end up alone a lot which results in so many missed opportunities.

I got a blind between Lecompte and Cheneyville this year for the first time. Haven't seen a duck but hoping some will be stirring with the other farms shooting. Bringing plenty of snacks and coffee and not expecting much.

That’s me. I have zero expectations for this season. I’m even wasting this Saturday to go down south for a blast and cast. It’s too freaking hot for any kind of hunting at the moment

Hunt a lot up in that direction, and can't tell you how many opener eve's we've seen nothing while putting out decoys then stacked them the next day. It could suck, or it could be good, you just have to go, especially so on openers.

It's likely there are birds around and someone's primo habitat is feeding them, and they'll get stirred up. Good luck !
