How is Aububon Park Golf Course in New Orleans these days?

It’s honestly improved a ton from the travesty they allowed it to turn into during Covid and shortly after.


Not back to pre COVID condition but getting there. Certainly can’t beat the scenery out there.

Played a couple days ago. Honestly it was in relatively rough shape.

That doesn't mean much if you're planning to play early spring or something like that.

It's still the best bang for your buck in the area imo.

Greens were just in kinda rough shape. wet and soggy despite not much rain around here. Some of the tee boxes were a little worse for wear.

Fairways were decent enough, but at audubon that only comes into play on a few holes.

Compared to other options at that price range, it was still not bad. But I've seen it in MUCH better condition earlier this year.

Do NOT hit it into the bunkers. Some have sand, most do not. My 60 degree took some surface damage hitting rock/concrete at the bottom of bunker. I couldn't tell before I took my shot, but my ball was perched on about 1 mm of sand and below was rock.
