Filet poboy. I’d say Pretty close to the old one in fat city. $20 now and comes with mash. Decent lunch.

It's good. But the old one seemed to be better meat. I would swear it was sirloin not filtet tips. They used to source the meat from the same supplier as Ruths Chris but get the tiny cuts.
Its a good poboy. But I'll still prefer a roast beef from my normal places.

And old school CJ was dirt cheap. I would imagine a lot of people will go in with the old school pricing in their memories and not return.

Is that the Hillbilly BBQ spot. I didn't realize it had closed. Their prices also went up super high when they switched to this spot.

Haven’t been to the new one.
The old place featured cheap and decent steaks in an atmosphere that resembled a fun and lively bar.
The new place from the outside looks like a basic suburban strip mall.

There are two locations. One in Metairie by Lakeside Mall, and then one in the old Hillbilly location. The one in the old hillbilly location is light years better. Not sure why, just is. Better food, and much better service.

Went to the one in Harahan last week. Enjoyed it. It was a little pricey, but the food was good and the atmosphere was fun. I’ll definitely go back.

Went to the one on Vets. Not a lively fun atmosphere at least not at lunch. Decent looking bar but didn’t get a drink. CJs in fat city had the same meal for $10-12 if I remember correctly. This was filet not sirloin.
