Can anyone recommend a photographer in the Baton Rouge area that takes good newborn and child photos. I've talked to several that have reasonable sitting fees but want a fortune for the digital images. I don't mind paying for their time to take the photos and make any edits or adjustments necessary, but I'm not going to them and paying $20+ every time I want a print for an aunt.

Alternatively, what have you paid? Maybe my expectations are unreasonable. One I looked at was $800+ for a shoot ($350ish) and the balance for rights.

At the end of it, I'd like the .jpgs so I can print them where and when I want, or use them in a digital frame.

Cindy Abeny is who we have always used and we have been very happy with her. She did our newborn pics and most of our family pics since then. I don’t have the slightest idea how much it cost, but I know she always gives us the digital images so we can reprint.

Jeannie Frey Rhodes is the best but she is not "reasonable". The only other person we trusted our kids' photos to was her brother, Fred, but he recently passed.
