You know why, right? The United States of America is sick of your shite.
Go woke, go broke. You’ve now proven that mathematically.
Not all these movies were woke but woke from Hollywood has left a bad taste for everyone.

Couple that with the next 3 generations who can barely muster enough attention span to make it through a YouTube short the movie industry is going to implode.
That world is finished.

Little to no creativity, most of the great directors have passed or retired!!
The 80's/90s/00s were the greatest decades of movies!!!

I hope the Springsteen biopic failed miserably.

It should. The movie is about the making of an awful album. Who thought a movie about “Nebraska” would make a profit?
Add to that, Springsteen alienated half his former audience.

I think a big reason folks aren't going to the movies is competition from streaming services and folks having giant TV screens at home.

Movies take a while to flush out production wise when culture is clearly going a different direction. Most of what is coming out was green lit when Biden was campaigning for second term and they still thought the public was on that side. Some of the leftist rhetoric has been toned down in editing and post production which is good but makes the movie come across as really tepid. But you still have stuff like One Battle After Another that get through untouched because guys like PT Anderson has so much sway
