He will be in office and not implement a bunch of what he promised either because he can't or is playing the long game.
He will have high favorability. Once the Governor's race and others around NY come up, they will run more communist.
They will be promoted and say, "look at Mamdani, you all called him a commie and he isn't that bad."
These people will then get elected, and once this happens, they will have full power and ability to implement ALL of their commie ideas.
Its like an infection and young liberal white women combined with huge numbers of immigrants that will move there will be the cause.

I feel like y’all are missing the point
This was an election of natives vs foreigners
Where’s bill the butcher when you need him

Yea and my fear is that the natives will leave and more foreigners will come and be like Dearborn, MI.
The natives generally do t want to be around of foreigners that don’t and have no desire to assimilate. So they will leave which then leaves a vacuum for foreigners to move into political power and never leave.
See London.

Will not result in.

This guy is being taken too seriously and the leftist kool aid is being swallowed too fast.
We are literally talking about someone who has never had a real job and is just eloquently spouting off hard left wishlist item after wishlist item and just repeating OMB.
The Chicago mayor is of the exact same mold as this moron. Same beliefs, same wishlists. Just can’t communicate the wishlist as well. And what future does he have now?

If he doesn’t follow through on his campaign promises, would New Yorkers even be mad?

I think you're probably right, Laugh...

You are right about the natives v rabbits but you needed to add in the native woman votes. I heard once years ago when Edwin Edwards was getting reelections that women will vote for the guy who they prefer to invite into their bed, it seems to be true. That said regardless of what this communist Muslim gets accomplished he will be changing the demographics of NYC for good. The Muslims and communists will flood the zone

quote:It will be interesting to see how the interface with Kathy Hochul works. She endorsed him over Cuomo, after prog pressure forced her hand. So she'll be saddled with Mamdani's failures. At the same time, she's sworn she'll not support various policies and taxes he's proposed which require state backing. My guess is, in the end, she'll give into the same forces that led to her endorsement, at least on some of his stuff. Regardless, Hochul's situation got very difficult Tuesday.

And he withheld his endorsement of her until after this election.
Holding it ransom so that in her future elections, she promises to allow him to do all kinds of stuff she normally wouldn't so that she can get his endorsement and bring all the socialists to her side to win re-election.
If this is his plan, its admittedly pretty savvy.
