Interim vs acting

In an academic setting, “interim” is considered more authoritative than “acting”. Acting is more of a substitute role. FWIW

I worked for a Native American tribe for several years. Almost every executive-level position had someone in it that was “Acting.” I always figured it was an easier way to fire that white arse (so I tried to always go above and beyond LOL).

Given its archaic medical etymology, "imbecilic" is considered a more scientific term than "stupid." But they both apply to slobbering politicians that meddle in LSU's affairs.
