Logical deduction for coach search (Long)

Remove unrealistic candidates or candidates who are too old/retired, remove coaches having success at a blue blood program, remove coaches making good money at their alma mater, and coaches with HUGE buyouts or coaching for universities with deeper pockets that will counter LSU:
This removes Day, DeBoer, Freeman, Elko, Saban, Meyer, Cignetti, Dillingham, Brohm, Key, Cristobal, Lanning, Riley, and Lea.
LSU could pull off a heist and nab one, but the likelihood of another Brian Kelly type hire is questionable. The only realistic candidates on that list IMO are Dillingham, Brohm, Key and Lea all who would be good hires, but let's remove them as part of the logical deduction because they are coaching at their Alma Mater.
Coaches left who are having moderate or better success listed by 1st tier (coaches at good programs ranked top 25), then 2nd tier (coaches in top 25 at mid programs), and 3rd tier (coaches from unranked mid or decent programs having some success):
1st tier - Kiffin(UM), Drinkwitz(Mizzou), and Heupel(Tenn) - all pricey to pull from competing SEC schools.
2nd tier - Sitake(BYU), McGuire(Texas Tech but may be too expensive for a question mark hire), Tony Elliot (UVA), Silverfield(Memphis), Fisch(UW), and Satterfield(Cincy).
3rd tier - Sumral(Tulane), Golesh(USF), Morris(UNT), Lashlee(SMU), Fritz(Houston), Aranda(Baylor), Fleck(Minnesota) Diaz(Duke), Dykes(TCU), Huff(USM), Harrell(ECU), and Rhule(Nebraska).
If LSU can't pull one of the tier 1 options, would you be happy (or at least satisfied) with any from tier 2 or 3?
I think of tier 2 and 3 coaches I would rank them:
1. McGuire
2. Diaz (For some reason I think he will be great at the right place)
3. Sitake, Fisch or Aranda
4. Fleck or Rhule
5. Elliot
6. All the rest from the mid G4 programs or not in the G4
After Tier 1, I hope LSU considers McGuire if possible or Manny Diaz!

Arand
He's like the 8th option after tier 1 and my rankings of tier 2 and 3.
He's an intelligent football coach with a history at LSU.

Any list that has McGuire on it go ahead and click off
Tells me you have 0 understanding of the coaching landscape
And Aranda? .....

Thank god you are not in charge of the coaching search

I get it, but I'm a fan of Diaz. He may be the best defensive mind in CFB. He wasn't terrible at UM as his first HC job. He has Duke competitive in the ACC with less talent.
I want LSU to get back to playing high level defense. Find an OC that has a history of success, and pair him with Diaz! Everyone is so hung up on offensive minded coaches.

You never know.
You gotta take into consideration the deductions prior to the rankings at the bottom. Obviously all LSU fans want a coach from the deducted list or from tier 1. I'm just listing/ranking what's left.

Why is that? He's a good coach at a decent program. Is it because he wouldn't leave TT for LSU? Or because he's not yet proven enough to be LSU's HC?
You gotta take into consideration that the list/ranking at the bottom is after the deducted list and tier 1.

I’m sticking with the “Don’t overthink it” mindset today

McGuire is a Texas HS coaching legend and with his setup at Tech there is 0 chance he leaves

I'd skip right over your Tier 2 and go with Fritz (Houston).

Even for LSU? Does he see himself winning a championship at TT? Sure, winning the big 12 is doable every year, but competing against A&M (or UT some years) in the playoffs let alone Bama or Ohio State! Does he care about in-state legend status or his ability to win a championship?
He'd improve recruiting in Texas, and LSU recruits itself in Louisiana. NIL is obviously the wave of recruiting, but relationships still matter.
I just don't know if he's the right fit at LSU, but wouldn't be opposed to it if he would leave for the chance at a championship at a championship level program. That is all with the understanding that deducted coaches and tier 1 coaches fall through.

Fritz (Houston).
Proven successful program/culture guy!
I think he'd be a good hire.
The demand on him to show immediate results would be tough from the fan perspective. I'm not sure he would be a great fit because of the short leash he would be given.

He is not leaving the state of Texas and with their former billionaire player giving them $20+ million a year in NIL I have a hard time thinking he will ever leave

I wish.
Guy is 50-21 at Memphis. Norvell was 38-16.
