That will enable the leftist to redraw congressional district lines thus gerrymandering the districts … killing what few R held districts exist… now, one can assume Gavin Newsome kicking up red states to in turn do the same, thus eradicating all D held districts throughout the South

It doesn't matter. The entire system is broken. Republican states will do the same thing to take away Dem seats
Posted on 11/4/25 at 10:06 pm to Luke
We needed this to save democracy

So how will the Ds be able to blame Orange and the Rs for all the disasters in this state
Posted on 11/4/25 at 10:06 pm to Luke
Let them have it. At most this will turn 9 districts.
Red states will easily outpace that.
Texas alone will have a shift about that size.

As I said, yes… the only winners will be the attorneys

Will more clearly define which states stay in the USA and which go to the new country after the national divorce.
It's time.
It's time.

Ha! I have always loved this line and I know you’re using it jokingly.
The line should really read, “We have to destroy Democracy in order to save Democracy”
Lunatic lefties truly believe this!

Won't happen. It's literally impossible

They can’t get rid of all 9 without making some vulnerable blue districts. But 5-7 is easy.
I don’t understand why anyone wants this tit for tat. It’s not going to result in any sort of resounding win for Republicans.
The GOP in the south could do this and net like 6 seats across LA, MS, AL, TN, and SC
Texas gave what, 5? Florida could squeeze a couple more possible.
California can swing 7 to D. Washington could eliminate all R districts if they wanted. So could IL. So could MD.
It’s such a stupid spiral. It’s time for districting reform to end this stupid shite. Population, geography, existing administrative and municipal boundaries—period. Zero other factors.

The problem for the GOP is that gerrymandering turns a few deep red districts into many light red ones. In a wave election this can backfire

Lol no they won't.

Lots of Republicans forget, when they are in power, that there are more Democrats in the US

They may. But there are less. The GOP states where this could happen generally one blue districts that could be redrawn.

Ultimately, this is a meaningless effort. California can't redistrict enough to overcome what red states will be doing.

Why does everyone keep acting like California is the only state where this would happen?
There are more red seats in blue states than the other way around.
