The Master P Era on the Lakefront is off to a nice start. UNO wins 78-74 at TCU. 21 point dogs.

They were up 20 with 8 mins left and the UNO pg had a bit of a turnover problem that got TCU back in it.

Big win for Stacey Hollowell... who's already brought a natty to uptown NOLA (Loyola - NAIA)

Jamie Dixon if i recall. They've been a perennial tourney team in recent years. Hell of a win by UNO

I didn’t realize the 27 year old tatted up dude Jamal Gibson that was UNO’s big get already left the team. That’s a huge win for them and a realllly bad loss for TCU.

It's hard to care these days because it seems like he brings in a different roster every year. At some point replacing your entire roster year in year out would catch up to you

It's why I don't give a frick about college basketball anymore. It's all a bunch of mercenaries. Unless you are one of the destination programs you program is nothing more than a feeder system to the big schools

Not surprised. There was interest in him from bigger schools even before last year but there were eligibility concerns. I was surprised when it was announced he was going to UNO… the eligibility issues went away???? Guess not. I heard he was going back to NAIA at Xavier (Louisiana, not Ohio). Don’t see him on the website though

Jamal Gibson spent about two hours at Xavier.

Gibson went back to SUNO. He had 23 points and 21 rebounds in a double-digit loss at Xavier last week.

A UNO March Madness run could really test the theory that the tourney drives up enrollment

Let’s be honest, they’d be happy to make the conference tournament… to drive up enrollment would take a run that a 16 seed UNO isn’t quite capable of

If they could win a couple more of their money games, they won’t be a 16 seed.

do you realize how far behind financially they are?

Southland won’t help them much, Will Wade is gone…
