I have a very large attic space and want to add a second floor, so will need a staircase designed/added and a room and bathroom on second floor. Need windows added through current roof.

I’m thinking I need to start with an architect for this project considering the structural and design issues.

Does anyone have a recommendation for an architect who would be interested in the small project?

I have had great experiences with Flynn Designs. However, I strongly recommend finding a contractor first, and going through your plans/ideas with them first. Will save you several months and a number of design changes.

If you don't have a contractor, Flynn has a handful they have worked with that they are more than willing to refer you to

House on slab? I’d get a structural inspection to make sure the framing and the slab can handle the additional weight
