Proposed contract for Lane at LSU

$10 million base for 7 years
$333,000 bonus per win
$1 million bonus per playoff appearance and automatic $1 million bump in base pay for remainder of contract
$2 million bonus for national title and automatic $2 million bump in base for remainder of contract
Buyout if fired is 100% after year 1 and drops 10% each year after

No coach should get more than 3 years. If they win a NC before year 4 they become the highest paid coach for another 3 years. LSU is going to fire themif they don't win in that time period so what is the point in giving them more than 3 years.

He is not coming. He has plenty personal reasons to stay at OM including his ex wife who he is trying to reconcile with.

lol read the rest of the post. 333k per win added on and a mil for a playoff appearance. If he meets LSU expectation which is playoffs and what will keep his job to begin with he will make well above 13.5

If he stays that’s his last stop and he retires there. He’s been everywhere he wanted so far and will never be so many openings to pick from at the same time again. This is it for him.
