If the Hornets did that trade, they would have to turn around and deal for a big man. West has to stay at PF, and there is no way you can rely on Armstrong, Ely, and Marks to anchor down the center position

The only reason for this trade is to clear cap space after the year when Marion's contract runs out.

Chandler for Marion is retarded. If there is one place where we don't have the depth to deal, its a big.
Trade one of our 4-5 different washed up/never was wing guys.

Maybe the hornets know they aren't going to do shite this season.
Maybe the know they need the cap space to target a possible LEGIT backcourt partner with CP who can slash the basket and be a creator out there.
Maybe the think they can get by with Tyson with a serviceable big. Tyson's D is overrated, he rebounds good when healthy but thats a lot of $$$ for rebounds and 2 alley oops a game from CP.

I understand the business side of the deal with Marion having an expiring contrsct - I know why the Hornets wouldmake the deal.
My post was just the fan in me, I'd hate to see more Sean Marks playing time "anchoring" the middle.
