Noticed a bit of a damp spot around the treatment plant. Checked air pump and it was non functional.

Ordered a rebuild kit and a replacement pump.

Replacement pump arrived two days later and has been running now for four days.

Not getting any water out of the sewer line at the pasture edge. Before that, was working fine for three years. System is three years old. No drainage issues inside.

Any ideas? Seems like I should have clear water running out by now.

Pull the lid off where the aerator pump is, Check the effluent filter going into other tank.

Don't put that voodoo on me.

I am adamant about no grease going down the drain. I wipe all pots out into the trash before washing.

Unfortunately.... I bet you're right. Damnit.

The aeration pump should not have much (if any) effect on whether water is draining out of the “tailpipe.” In my experience, if the system has an outlet pump (to pump water from the final compartment of the plant out tif the drain line) that has failed.

If it doesn’t have that pump (it is gravity-fed), the drain pipe is stopped up.

Line going into tank is backed up. Clean it out and change pump. If pump was down for an extended period of time, you may need to pump out tank.

Do you have women in your home? It’s usually grease or feminine products. Super hot water routinely down the drain helps to keep the grease flowing, sometimes.
