Finding the next Lanning: Will Stein

Played QB at Louisville
Did some stints at Louisville and UT as a GA and Quality Control, and then a season at Lake Travis HS in Texas as an OC
Went on to be the Passing Game Coordinator at UTSA and then OC for a year. That year, 2022, UTSA was 14th in the entire nation in both total offense and scoring offense
Dan Lanning hired him to be his OC and QB Coach at Oregon in 2023
In 2023 they were 2nd in the nation in Offense. Last year they were 15th
His style of offense is largely pro/RPO based, and he emphasizes "stressing" a defense in a variety of ways and making sure he designs plays to specifically get playmakers the ball
He is going to get a HC job sooner rather than later. I obviously don't think he is a candidate for a job like LSU, more like a Louisville if Brohm left, that sort of thing...
But just trying to get creative here

That's what I thought too until yesterday

i think frank wilson and will stein may have some sort of indirect relationship. Stein was at a HC in tx when Frank at utsa then leaves utsa and will steps into program immediately.

Great timing. The Arkansas foundation plane is actively descending into Eugene.
