Will AI be taken over by radicals?

As we’ve seen on social media, things get taken over by whacko’s and they manipulate the outcomes to make them align with their views. We have rainbow haired grade school teacher with a massive bullhorn through the varied social media platforms making it look like things are “unfair” or offensive when really they’re just miserable people.
We have elections manipulated by bots coming from platforms stationed in the middle of the ocean, or Russian, or Pakistani…
There’s a real threat that AI will be taken over by the radicals and ruin what could be an incredible earth shattering technology.
How will that be controlled? AI?
Where does the info come from that delivers AI’s results?
Does anyone know ?

Not sure how long the outage was across the nation but I couldn't get the website to launch for 3-4 hours
