Beat A&M make playoff or what happened?

Which would you have chosen?
Going back to Saturday morning I would say beat A&M, sneak into the playoffs and keep Kelly.
If you ask me now I would say losing and firing Kelly. I had no idea how toxic and checked out he had become. The boosters didn’t like him, the fans didn’t like him, the national media didn’t like him and most former players didn’t Ike him because he didn’t allow them access to the program. I think what happened is better for the long term success of the program.
My opinion may change again depending on the new hire. Hopefully we make the right choice.

As much as making the playoffs would be fun, getting rid of Kelly is much more important. He had checked out.

I'm fine with the results. Even if we had beaten aTm, LSU wasn't beating Bama or OU on the road. BK can't win on the road in the SEC.

BK would not have won a road playoff game and we’d have more problems next year with a young and completely new roster. His firing was happening this year or next. Glad we ripped the band aid off.

Felt bad about Kelly getting canned even though I did want LSU to get rid of him and move on. then like everyone else I've been reading how checked out he’d become that kind of pisses me off because I think he let down the schooland was playing us. Finally last night I read about him basically five minutes later, jumping on a plane and hauling arse out of Baton Rouge to me that doesn’t seem like a man that loves Louisiana and LSU as much as us the fans do. Louisiana may be a screwed up state but this is our university and we all want to see it succeed.
So in the long run, if losing A&M got that cancer out of the building and away from the program I’ll take that loss anytime

This was in garbage time. Not saying it "does not count" but there was no pressure on him to go out and win a game in that situation. He was just slinging it around care free.

To make the playoffs, we basically had to win out, so that would indicate the ship was righted, and if so, that would have been my preference.
The third option was not to lose in the manner we did, but in a close game, which probably would have meant we did not get rid of Kelly yet. I think that would have been the worst of all situations.

I don’t think every former player should have access to the program, that’s how you can also divide a team up.

Well how far in the playoffs do we make it in this scenario? Blown out in the first game because we dont belong there, naw im good. Make it to the NC game, hell yeah I would be happy to keep kelly if we did that.
