Please don’t complain about how much he makes or how bad the contract is when he doesn’t meet your expectations.

That’s the hypocrisy of these hires.

If you want Kiffin, it’s going to cost 100 mil. Please don’t complain when he doesn’t win against bama or a championship. You got what you asked for.

I don’t care what you pay them, I’m not footing the bill

However, no duration that exceeds 5 years.

I get what you are saying. Don't complain about the contract and buyout that LSU just had with Kelly then demand that we hire a proven coach that would demand a similar contract (or even higher). Can't have it both ways. I am of the opinion that LSU should explore all options - don't put yourself into a box by saying that the new coach has to have this or that or whatever. Just go find the best guy regardless of what and how long his experience is. If that is a guy like Kiffin that would require a contract of that magnitude then ok. But if they decide that it is someone else from a different role, then that is ok too. Just get the best guy.

Totally agree. I don’t care about age, race, what level the guy coached, etc. I just want a driven guy who has the will to do what it takes to succeed. That’s the quality.

A lot of times that quality vanishes when you reach the absurd 100 mil mark. There are few that still want it no matter how much they make. You find that guy, you got something special.
