Looking at chasing some ditch pickles this weekend. I have 0 prior experience at any of these lakes but want to expand my knowledge base.
Anyone have experience at these lakes and care to offer some insight?
I am finishing up a couple swimbait rod builds and would love to throw some glides and 8" magdrafts but will take what the lake is giving me if they wont chase big baits.

I have only been to Percy Quinn and it was a few decades ago, but there wasn't much catching when you went fishing.

Careful, franklin county boys don't have a problem slicing a sidewall if they see a La license plate.
go on a weekend when there are plenty of other people around

That’s news to me. Been in Franklin for 16 years and zero problems so far.
Only couple times at lake though.

Okhissa is the best bet with the big glides. Don’t give up and a few hammers you will find. Do not report back lol.

Same here. Been hunting there since 2005. They have some crackheads around to worry about in some areas but for the most part folks are friendly. I was camped out there last weekend and once we lit a campfire there was a steady stream of locals stopping by to chat.

That’s an exaggeration lol. A large amount of people that fish it or from La.
Make sure you are legal in all aspects because the probability is high that you will be checked.
Give Okhissa a try and have fun.

100% correct on drug heads. Have some that live down road from us. They are still nice and we talk or wave to each other.
