How I Hope LSU Handles This

Saw someone today say LSU has to call Saban, Urban, and Lanning just to see where they are at. I know most would agree you have to call Saban at the very least. “Got to make Saban say no” talk is everywhere, I completely get it.
But honestly, if I’m LSU and Lane is who I really want, I’m calling him first. No messing around. Let him know he’s the top choice, not part of some bigger list. You make that clear up front, and it sends a big message to him and strokes his ego at the same time.
You can call those other guys if he says no, but if you want Lane, make him feel wanted. We know Sexton can confirm for him that the call never went out to Saban.

Who the hell is saying this? Saban is done. Even if he wanted to coach again, he can't keep up with modern CFB in the NIL era. That's why he retired in the first place.

Glad your not the lead negotiator!

If we make it clear to Lane he's the top choice, can you image next year's Twitter trolls? We can't give him that satisfaction.
