Lane Kiffin: From The Outhouse To The Penthouse?

It wasn't that many years ago when Lane was known as "Boy Kiffin," and it was openly speculated that Lane only got a start in coaching because of the tremendous reputation his dad, Monte, built over decades.
And looking back at his "prior life," in no particular order, Lane was head coach of the LA Raiders, he had a cup of coffee with Tennessee, spending one season there, and he had an uneven tenure as the head coach of USC.
But after USC, Saban brought Lane in as his OC, and his rehabilitation began. Now Kiffin has Ole Miss in the top ten, the Rebels will likely make the playoff, and a bidding war is (almost certainly) about to begin to decide which university will let Lane lead their football team in 2026. (Ole Miss? Florida? LSU? Another yet to be named school?)
If you Google "Phoenix rising from the ashes," a picture of Lane Kiffin will be in your search results.

Kiffin still doesn't seem like a long term stable answer, but he is definitely the prototypical coach for this shitty NIL era

After he left Tennessee his stints seemed pretty standard

I always thought he was over-rated and got where he was at due to nepotism, however, after working with saban, getting fired by nick saban, failing for the umpteenth time he has really matured as a coach and it seems an individual these last few years and has become probably one of the best in the business.
