List of a few who made the move successfully.

Ryan Day-Ohio State
Chip Kelly- Oregon
Lincoln Riley-Oklahoma
Kirby Smart- Georgia
Marcus Freeman- Notre Dame
Dan Lanning - Oregon
Clark Lea - Vanderbilt
Brent Key - G tech

I think this is accurate! And if we go this way, do we hire an offensive or defensive guy?

I hope we get an offensive guy.

Im so sick of having a shitty offense outside of generational QBs

There is still plenty time for some of those to shite the bed at their current schools.

More than half of that list were internal promotions, and most of them inherited good situations.

Lea and Key didn't inherit good programs, but they're at their alma maters, and had time to go through some growing pains.

We're obviously not promoting from within, and I don't know if there's a rising star coordinator that we'll have much patience for. Venables seemed like a sure thing for OU, and he has been a mixed bag.

But we have a good roster and hs commits. Gm, nil$, will hold alot more players vs when O was fired. Kelly inherited 28 kids + 12 freshman + portal. New coach likely inherits 36-40, 15 freshman. 12-15, kids doesnt seem like much, but its 3-4 in each age class of recruiting. Maybe the only perk of NIl era, is turnover doesn't have to mean roster depletion. Atm/ bama had very little turnover
