Going in December to the Mayakoba area and looking for transportation suggestions. Hotel wants $360 round trip which seems high for 2 people. Will only need it to/from airport.

We used USA Transfers last time we went and had a very good experience. Great drivers both directions and on time.
There are a bunch of other transfers companies that are largely equivalent

We used Kalido Travel to get to/from Riviera Maya recently. Similar experience as above. I can't remember the cost, but I'm sure it was less than what you were quoted.

I use Carm. But the cheapest option and I've done it before is the First class bus service. (ADO, Not The collectivo buses) You take bus to cancun central then bus from there. By far cheapest. Bus has assigned seats. But.... it's a bus.
Taxis are a rip off in QR so best option is to email the diffetent ride setvices. I usually just go to isla mujeres and take Carm. The new Tren Maya is an option for many too.

Your travel agent should have some good suggestions. I know mine always has several in Mexico that she knows personally.
