This will be my first attempt to chlorinate my water well. Any tips from you experts and pros are greatly appreciated.

Because it's something the pros recommend doing every so often to combat E-coli and coliform bacteria.
Are you asking, "but why" to be sarcastic or does your question have suggestions that can be helpful to me?

Seems like tablets would drop down to the bottom of the well and do a better job of killing off bad stuff. Or maybe a few tablets for deeper and liquid for shallower. Or something like that.

I do mine with liquid bleach. A couple cups should be fine. Once i put the bleach in, i run all the faucets till i smell bleach and turn them off for a few hours. After that i run the water till i don't smell bleach anymore.

Where do ya'll dump the bleach into? Is it the pipe that comes up out of the ground?
