5-8 mill signing bonus.
5 mill year fix, 4 years.
8 wins bonus: 1mill
9 wins bonus: 2 mill
10 etc…
Playoff bid 3 mill.
Subsequent win 1 mill.
NC 5 mill.
Allowing a coach to make 15-20 mill in a year upon success, while the school perhaps triples that. Stay away from extreme buyouts. Make believe idea?

Yes, I like your thinking. And we all agree.
It’s time to move to these kinds of HC contracts, everyone else will follow our lead. Even if it means hiring a coach no one has heard of.
I’d remove the 8-win bonus tho. 9 wins should be the floor at LSU.

Never understood why any school doesn’t standardize on performance based contracts.
You’re less than motivated to actually coach when it’s guaranteed money even if you get fired.

Jimmy Sexton represents 14 of 16 in the SEC. The answer is no.
