End of first Half against Texas A&M - Kyle Field 2024

I'm not going to reiterate all the factors, time left on clock, details, score (we were winning)

But for those with Eyes to See and a Feel/Understanding of how Critical it is to Understand/Recognize/Manage/Control the constantly shifting intricacies regarding M O M E N T U M

It was glaringly obvious just before the end of the half when LSU was successfully driving down the field to about the A&M 40 yd line with like 75 seconds left in first half. We were dominating A&M, but you could tell it was shifting. But we had just driven the field & clearly had the Momentum on that last drive and it appeared/felt quite evident to everyone, including LSU players, that we could have and likely would have scored to "drive & put the final nail in the coffin"!

To my and quite a few others baffling shock/surprise, including confused LSU players on the field........KELLEY FOLDED! HE TOOK A KNEE & LET OVER A MINUTE OF PRECIOUS TIME & AT LEAST A FIELD GOAL EXPIRE!

I could not believe it. I knew then, and posted extensively about it, that THAT was Kelley's "smoking gun" demise! Kelley exposed himself BIG TIME then & there......& showed/told me everything about him as a Coach.

The team never really recovered from that even to this day. You’re right.

Except that's not really what happened.

On first down, we threw the ball to Lacy 25 yards down field. He dropped it. Nuss got hit low and was limping all over the field. We then ran a draw for nothing.

At that point, the option was a 3rd down throw with your immobile quarterback who was presenting with an injury, all in hopes of going to a kicker who was 1/3 on the night.
