McNeese President is hired.
Fires or demotes Woodward.
Hires Saban as AD. Saban gets Skip’s old role and gets to lead the programs but not bound to the day to day coaching requirements.
Saban’s first hire is Lane. Lane gets to work under one of this favorite mentors while being a head coach. With Saban there, his biggest concern in Florida(program and facilities development cost) is a non issue or certainly less of one.
Long shot, but if I were a booster, this would be the only plan to get more of my money for the next decade.

We can hope and pray

Seems like the best future plan presented to all parties that beats out any competitive offer.
Nick and Lane would cement their legacies in the new era of the expanded playoffs.

Saban is not becoming the AD.
I stopped there.

Because he doesn't want to. Ask yourself, why would he want to do that?

Everything in that plan sounds realistic except Nick Saban as AD. Lol no way.

He is probably making a brinks truck worth of cash by appearing on TV and talking ball for 3 hours a weekend over 2.5 months out the year. Sure he wants to deal with this dumpster fire of politics?

Literally the dumbest thing I’ve read today! Saban isn’t taking $10mm less a year to be an AD!

Does he seem like the type of guy who wants to spend a lot of time kissing the asses of boosters to get them to keep writing checks?
If he’s not coaching, why would he want to give up his cushy, no stress gig on Gameday to get back into a stressful and demanding job as AD?

Well then, let's make Miss Terry as AD.
We get Nick for the price of her.

lets see:
live in jupiter island florida or baton rouge
he wouldn’t entertain that offer for more than a couple of seconds
some of you people are so infantile…

I could see Saban coming back to coach for a couple years with a HCIW kind of assistant. Him being AD makes no sense, he’s currently making a bunch of money to PJ to Gameday and living where he wants, you think he and Mrs Terri want to live in Baton Rouge full time?

Typical Louisiana people ,always living in the past.It was a miracle that LSU hired Mark Emmert who was a forward thinker and brought in Nick.If that hadn’t happened we would still be in the era of Cholly Mac football and still only have 1 NC.The administration needs to think outside the box and look to the future not the past.

It’s the only way he’ll have the most control of TAF’s war chest.
ESPN/Disney ain’t paying them that much. All those dudes only get so many flights covered by ESPN. They make dig comments at this all the time.
It’s a better situation than the foundation he’s trying to create for Bama. Those highway ads in Alabama saying “we have to build it” isn’t just a catch phrase.
He's on the road now more than he use to be. He’ll be able to use the LSU plane to fly to the coast whenever he wants. He’d just have to cover fuel costs. That’s a good deal when you’re already rich.
Say what you want but that’s the best move. The justifications for all parties to bite are there.

This is a meta modern form of evolution baw. It’s a changing of the guard in the right places.

You’re not looking at the big picture and the perks of the move. He could use the school’s plane ad hoc and get his own in time. BTR’s cheaper than other options for housing a private aircraft.

quote:He's making $5-10 million a year from commercials and his ESPN gig, plus another $500K from Alabama. He lives in Florida and basically works part time. It seems unlikely he's going to give that up to become LSU's AD. Don't get me wrong, it would be awesome, but it seems unlikely.
Why would he not?
