Just gonna go ahead and start it now:
Blake Baker (TU alum) is someone who’s mentioned a lot. Could reasonably get him considering recent developments but maybe Tulane goes established HC.
That would mean try to poach another successful G5 who’s winds up being the odd man out. Good luck with that this cycle. If anyone like Eric Morris or Charles Huff is available I would do that

I wouldn’t care if the Taliban hired Blake Baker. Get him farrrrr away from LSU

I would be cool with Baker but the one concern is Tulane risking their recent football progress on a first time HC may not be smart with ACC realignment at stake in a few years

I don’t see that happening for reasons that you stated. I don’t think Tulane would go after a 1st time head coach especially considering how the LSU defense has fallen off.
Huff and Morris would be interesting picks. I wonder if they would look at Tyson Helton. He has done well at Western Kentucky.
