One of the first World Series I ever watched was 1993. It’s tough to top one of two WS’s ending in a walk off home run.

2001 would top it though…that series had multiple moments. The dominance of Schilling and Johnson, the crazy game 7, the clutch homers in the Bronx.

2002: an overlooked seven-gamer. Bonds was hitting massive homers, but it was one of the shortest WS home runs that provided a memorable moment. Scott Spiezio’s homer to right ignited a crazy rally to come back from a 5-0 deficit in the 7th.

2016: I haven’t witnessed my team(s) win a World Series, but I was sure destiny was on Cleveland’s side when light-hitting Rajai Davis took Aroldis Chapman deep in the 8th to tie game 7. Had the Tribe won, that would have gone down as one of the biggest, and is still one of the unlikeliest, home runs of all time.

Rangers winning in 2023

Braves winning in 95

Braves/Twins 91 (best ever)

Marlins beat Yanks in 03 (they clinched on a Saturday night I was in Death Valley pretty sure)

Bonds homer against Anaheim that maybe landed at some point

Cubs/Indians

Many more. My first World Series to watch was the 90 series when the Reds dominated Oakland.

Wasn’t that clincher on an LSU game night? I was 21 and that was my FIRST senior year, so things were blurry. But I remember being really interested in Beckett throwing that night.

Looked: LSU did indeed beat the shite outta Auburn that night.

After years and years of getting close but never winning the big one to finally see one of my teams with it all was absolutely magical.

Yes, at least we had that going for us.

Roberto Clemente being Roberto Clemente vs the Orioles in 1971.
Oakland A's gave a fake intentional walk signal, then threw one right over the plate while Johnny Bench never moved.

2001 Game 7 walk off. Paired with the patriotism in NYC in the aftermath of 9/11

It goes without saying, but the Yanks could have used some more DONGS that night.

The same night LSU beat Alabama in OT. One of the greatest sports days of my life.

I remember them interviewing Bregs after the game and he was stoked and surprised LSU beat Bama.

The game 5 between Astros and Dodgers in 2017 was still one of the most back and forth crowd insane games I can remember.

In person: 2021 Braves v Astros Game 5 - Adam Duvall Grand Slam in the bottom of the 1st. Had seats in right field pretty close to where the ball went out. Whole stadium erupted. Thought I was going to see the Braves win the World Series with my own eyes that night, but unfortunately the Astros came back. Still my favorite game I’ve ever attended.

DUUUUUUVALLLL BOMB

On tv: 2021 Astros v Braves Game 6 - Jorge “High Fly Ball to Left and Goodbye” Soler.
