I blame Clemson and the media for this debacle of a season!

We thought after beating Clemson that this team had a real chance at the NC. The media overhyped Clemson so much it got in all of our heads as well. Clemson ended up being arse, and the Tiger aren't too far behind!!!

We thought we were watching the '85 Bears Defense

Well most of the football pundits thought it was a good game between two good teams. Congrats if you are the guru who knew better. You should be on TV sharing your opinion.

Remember back to that week. Bama lost and Texas looked bad. LSU won on the road to a Clemson team that everyone still thought was good, and everyone knew the score should have been 24-10. A two-score win at Clemson is always an achievement.
You don’t listen to any pundits since you already know more than them, so you didn’t hear all the praise for LSU.

I have to live with these people (or near them— my in-laws are all Gamecocks, which isn’t any better). I can attest. They’re in a competition with us for their coach’s next destination.

Most everyone thought Clemson was good but that LSU was simply better. What should have been a 14-point win but for the refs removing a TD was seen as a solid road win against a tough team. We weren’t blown away by our offense but nobody was alarmed. It’s revisionist history to “muh I’m so smart I knew we sucked from the first minute against Clemson”
