I was a Kelly fan, defended him as you know. But after thinking and listening to ruffino bring outs some points of him being fired, changed my mine. Like not changing coordinates. Asking for NIL money and don't win with the players this year. He won't attempt to change things. Left nuss in 2 games when he was hurt. Didn't even try the backup. That shows he's stubborn and didn't try to win. So I now think we need a change. Who we get don't know. I think it should be a younger guy. Get a better OC for sure. Got to get tougher players on ol like we use to have. This year is soft. Where will lsu get the money to pull trigger. Will they be allowed to let him go. I've been a tiger fan since 19 64. I want the whoop arse attitude back at lsu. Go tigers

I'm with you on finally buying a ticket on the NegaTiger Express. But I don't think the admin has the stones - or the money - to let BK go and also hire a new HC that could meet the heavy expectations of coaching at LSU.
More likely, IMO, they try to force changes on him for the next year at OC and some offense position coaches.
Just a guess, but there's too many other vacant HC positions open right now, and likely more to come before the end of this year. To replace BK we'd have to pay 50+mil, plus we'd also have to outbid a lot of other schools for the handful of decent replacements.
I'd love to see Woodward grow a pair and force a hotshot OC on Kelly sometime soon. Someone that can threaten Kelly as a potential replacement if he doesn't get his shite together.
Is that contractually possible? I have no idea.

After watching that abomination of a fricking game, how can you think of anything positive to say about the LSU football program?
Brian Kelly is fricking cancer and the only way to get rid of that shite you gotta cut it out and remove it. frick him he used to take his fricking arse back up north
Changing an offensive line coach and an offensive coordinator at this point is like trying to put a Band-Aid on a gushing head wound

I’m not a NegaTiger, but I’m definitely an AmbivalentTiger.

I liked it when lsu had players from Louisiana who wanted to play for lsu , not for NIL money.

Yea that's never happening again.
Money makes the world go round. It may get you a discount but not much.

Dude, chill. I'm not positive at all, just considering likely scenarios.
I'd love to see Kiffen or someone at the same level send BK packing. But where will LSU come up with the money to fire Kelly, hire an ACCEPTABLE replacement, and also pay the NIL needed to field a decent team? I don't think they have it. Just my opinion.
So if we're stuck with Kelly for another year, force the changes on his staff that are needed and don't be shy about the fact that the OC runs the offense while implying the possibility of the OC replacing him if he continues sucking.
Maybe it'll piss him off and he'll quit or negotiate a lower buyout. Maybe he'll actually let it happen. Who knows? It may not even be possible if BK's contact guarantees him absolute control.
So, hey, that's just my random thoughts on a discussion board.

I just don't get excited anymore to watch the games like I used to. Not sure if it's age or knowing the product will be sub par. Maybe I need to start drinking again while watching the game, at least I will catch a buzz.

Kiffen no he's won 60% of sec games. Bk has won 70%

The only issue with trying to revamp the offense is, any respectable coordinator would not want to come coach under Kelly when it’s apparent it’s a matter of time before he’s fored

No admin would fire a coach and pay $51m buyout, staff buyout, pay new coach and staff…a long with paying $18m in new nil roster bc the current coach is…
34-13 overall
5-2 and ranked 19th / 2 losses to top 10 teams by a combined 12pts.
I’m not saying change isn’t needed… what I’m saying is the optics of firing a guy in yr 4 of a 10yr contract bc he’s won 70% of games and currently 5-2 does not have coaches lining up! You also couldn’t afford the buyout, new coach and expect $18m NIL. So all of you would be complaining about KSU not being competitive in NIL.
It will have to get worse by miles for that decision to happen. Until then, it’s horrible optics and financial stupidity.

I was not a fan of the Kelly hire at the time. I am still not a fan but also I realize that there was not a no-doubt hire. I wanted Kiffin but understood the reasons to not hire him. However, I understood this would be a process and not-an-over-night fix. However, he said judge him after year 3. And it has consistently been a disappointment since year 1 against Bama.
With that, hes still not going to be let go anytime soon. We will see how he finishes the season. But there are so many flaws with this team and most of them are staff and coaching decision flaws. Just disappointed.
