Has anyone with atrial fibrillation had the Watchman Procedure done?

They insert a catheter in your left atrial appendage, and the device inserted blossoms out in this horseshoe shaped chamber and the heart tissue grows around it.
This incapsulates the device and no blood clots can form in this area.
This area usually produces about 90% of all the blood clots associated with atrial fibrillation. After about 3 months, no blood thinners are required.

I have not but can't treat the A Fib itself? I'm having an ablation in a couple weeks.
Good luck.
Good luck.

If you’re in the Lafayette area get a consult from Dr Saad at cardiovascular institute of the south.

Or Dr. DeWitt at OLOL Heart Hospital. He's the man.

Dad had it and is now off eloquis. Seemed like a relatively easy procedure for him.
