Has anyone with atrial fibrillation had the Watchman Procedure done?

They insert a catheter in your left atrial appendage, and the device inserted blossoms out in this horseshoe shaped chamber and the heart tissue grows around it.
This incapsulates the device and no blood clots can form in this area.
This area usually produces about 90% of all the blood clots associated with atrial fibrillation. After about 3 months, no blood thinners are required.

I have not but can't treat the A Fib itself? I'm having an ablation in a couple weeks.

Wife is a cardiac NP,they have pts.that have had it done,typically do well.
BIL had it done a few months ago.He was on Eliquis and had a bleeding event so Watchman placed to take off Eliquis.Same story for an elderly woman at church we attend.She looks good,is at church every time door opens.

Dad has afib,they just put him on eliquis and said to monitor it.

Dad had it and is now off eloquis. Seemed like a relatively easy procedure for him.
