BK is not the coach for LSU. Whether it’s about fit or performance, the future does not look good with him. Personally, I think it’s necessary to cut losses and let him go asap. Moving forward with him will only be detrimental to the program and miserable for fans.
With a loss to TAMU, he should be terminated and Baker should be hired as interim HC. He should be told to consider it as an audition. He doen’t need to win out, just show something positive - some kind of potential to lead the program going forward. If he does, hire him after the season is over with a very meager contract with substantial bonuses and a promise to renegotiate his contract if he proves himself. Let him fire and hire whatever assistants he feels is necessary.
I think a young, promising, defensive minded head coach would be the way to go.

I don’t think he’s gonna fire him. Best case scenario is we geld the old man when it comes to hiring coordinators and allow him to stay as CEO. His problems are between the lines, off the field he’s been good at acquiring talent and stabilizing the program.

No coach with his ego will just become a ceo and let a non-coach athletic DIRECTV tell him what to do and how to run his team. He will tell him I have a contract and if u don’t like me then pay my $53 million or whatever and I’ll go win championships somewhere else. lol which we know wouldn’t happen but he is not type to let them tell him who to hire and to step back and be ceo

You’re probably right that’s why I said best case scenario. I don’t think it’ll happen though.

LSU is going to try and rehab Kelly to save money. Can you imagine the offensive coordinator who will basically be asked to save the 10 million dollar man’s job? That guy will have 100% of the leverage.
